Attractions in Atlanta, United States
Thank you for taking the time to learn about some of these American heroes. The tour guide Emily was amazing, so fun and passionate about sharing the history of the movement. It really brought to life the experiences and sacrifices made to move this country forward.

Tours of Dr. King's birth home are conducted by the National Park Service. Registration is required at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park Visitor Center and must be made in person upon arrival. The 30-minute tour is conducted every hour. There was nothing that I couldn't have done without a guide.
She called to make sure we were still going on the tour, she had her facts and information all together. She also had pictures to show because we couldn't go inside. And the best thing about it she took her time and made sure everyone understood and was together.
What a wonderful day and very interesting. Our tour guide was incredible, very warm and personable, very knowledgeable and just a pure joy to spend time with. I've lived here my entire life and found out things I never knew, things like why it's called Sweet Auburn etc....
The birth home is one block east of Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. The house great experience, the memorial peaceful just being in sweet Auburn made me think how bless we are wonderful feeling ♥️.. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers.
The wearing of masks, however, is still strongly encouraged due to the presence of tight spaces inside the Birth Home where social distancing can be difficult. Listen to the sermons and speeches of Dr. King at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Browse exhibits about the history of the church or watch a video of Dr. King’s sister as she talks about her family and the church.
Also, visit Dr. King's favorite soul-food restaurant and one of Atlanta’s best-loved diners, the Busy Bee Cafe, for lunch; and the Martin Luther King Jr. In 1895 a two-story frame Queen Anne style house was built for a white family at 501 Auburn Avenue. The home was purchased in 1909 by Rev. Adam Daniel Williams, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, for $3,500. Rev. Williams moved into the house with his wife Jennie Celeste and their 6 year old daughter Alberta Christine, their only child of three to survive infancy.

In conclusion, I was very disappointed in this tour because it added no value to a self-guided tour that I could have done on my own. Greetings Ms. Patricia, It clearly states in our tour description. So until your review says, we do tell people prior to booking. Additionally, we email people the same information once they book, to ensure they understand. It is important that clients clearly read tour descriptions prior to booking. Furthermore our tour guide does an excellent job with sharing the history of the area.
