Multiple attempts were required to successfully contact our tour conductor. Park Rangers were available for the self-guided portion of the tour which included the interior of MLKs home and the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Consequently, the tour had low value for the price paid since the admission is free to each of the national historical sites. Also, the tour omitted the Martin Luther King Jr Center, the Atlanta University Center and MLKs favorite soul food restaurant, the Busy Bee. Instead of the Busy Bee, we were given a 14 voucher to eat lunch at a newly built, modern Paschal restaurant that replaced the original. The food was good, but it had no historical significance other than the Paschal name.
You received the following email days prior that explained the restrictions, which would have given opportunity to cancel the tour. Ebenezer Baptist Church and Dr. King’s birth home) are closed, we are conducting a walking tour of the area and its legendary history. Please note masks are required for the tour.

The birth home is one block east of Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. The house great experience, the memorial peaceful just being in sweet Auburn made me think how bless we are wonderful feeling ♥️.. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers.

Kristin did a wonderful job giving us the history of MLK and the entire peaceful movement to gain rights for the black. She was interesting and very easy to hear and was able to answer most any question presented. However Ebenezer Church was closed and that was disappointing. I think the tour could have been longer at the same cost. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
In conclusion, I was very disappointed in this tour because it added no value to a self-guided tour that I could have done on my own.
